The Film

Commissioned by SCAD in connection with the exhibition Pierre Cardin: Pursuit of the Future, I Am Thinking of Pierre Cardin approaches the designer not as a conventional biography, but as a visual reverie.

Archival fashion, film, color, texture, landscape, and cultural memory come together to evoke the imagination and futurism that defined Cardin's work.

The Opportunity

Make the story feel as original as the subject.

Pierre Cardin's legacy spans fashion, architecture, film, futurism, and popular culture. The opportunity was to create content capable of communicating that breadth without reducing the story to chronology.

The resulting film uses mood, association, archival material, and graphic storytelling to create an experience rather than simply recount a history.

Beyond the Screen

Content built to travel through culture.

  • Produced by Savannah College of Art and Design and Ways & Means
  • Created in connection with the exhibition Pierre Cardin: Pursuit of the Future
  • Circulated through SCAD's film and museum platforms beyond the original exhibition context
  • Programmed into film-festival screenings
